General terms and conditions
Thank you for your interest in staying at our campsite. The following general terms and conditions apply for all bookings at Camping Lazy Rancho AG, 3800 Unterseen-Interlaken. By reserving a rental accommodation or a pitch, the guest agrees to the following general terms and conditions.
1. Booking
The booking for your stay can be made online via our website. As of 2024 we do not take requests anymore, please check our booking website for availability.
Your booking for a rental property becomes binding only when the availability has been confirmed and the full amount has been received by us. The booking for a pitch becomes binding only when the availability has been confirmed and either the full amount or a deposit of CHF 200.00 has been received by us. Please note that deposit of CHF 200.00 is only possible for bookings for amounts of CHF 400.00 or more in the low season and CHF 500.00 or more in the high season.
If payment is not received within 7 working days of reservation, the campsite management can dispose the booked pitch or the rented accommodation. After payment has been received the booking confirmation will be sent out by email. If you pay by credit card, the booking confirmation will be sent out immediately after the successful transaction.
Once your booking has been confirmed and you wish to subsequently change the dates (arrival or departure date) or type of accommodation, a processing fee of CHF 20.00 will be charged.
1.1 Adolescents booking
Adolescents between 16 and 18 years of age will be obligated to exhibit a written permission by their legal guardian directly upon arrival or check-in will not be legally possible. In case of absence of such a written permission the management is not legally bound to the booking contract and is entitled to reallocate the pitch or the rented accommodation without compensation. Children under the age of 16 are not to be left alone on the campground.
2. Online Booking
When booking a pitch or a rental accommodation via our website the total amount is due immediately. Your credit card will be charged at the time the of booking.
Please note that bank transfers can take up to five working days. If the booking is paid by bank transer, it must be made at least six days before the arrival date (weekends excluded).
As soon as your booking has been confirmed and you subsequently want to change the dates (arrival or departure date) or type of pitch or accommodation, a processing fee of CHF 20.00 will be charged.
2a. Transferability
Bookings and vouchers are non-transferable and are only valid for the traveler(s) specified at the time of booking (if applicable, with accompanying travelers). In case of early notifications, a desired name change can be requested and only a processing fee will be charged. Vouchers are non-refundable and there is no cash payout for vouchers.
3. Booking Fee
Fees for transfering money will not be covered by the campsite and may apply, e.g., paypal or bank transfer.
4. Pitch request
Pitch requests are taken into account whenever possible. However, the campsite management reserves the right to change the pitch number at any time and assign an equivalent replacement. Any pitch allocation does not entitle the guest to a price reduction or refund. The same applies to rental properties.

6. Arrival / Departure – Final invoice
The pitch reservation is maintained until 18:00/6pm. Check-out for camping: 11:00/11am

No arrivals accepted after 21.00h.
7. Original booking confirmation
At arrival the original booking confirmation has to be presented (printed or on mobile device).
8. Final invoice
The customer is obliged to request and pay the final invoice no later than the evening before departure.
9. Late arrival/ early arrival or no show
In case of late arrival (after 18:00 h /6pm) of the day of your booking (without notifying the management by phone), the booking will be considered cancelled. In this case the paid amount will not be refunded.
In the event of an early departure or a no show, the total amount for the entire duration of your booked stay must be paid.
Late Check-in fee of CHF 20.00 from 18:30 / 6:30 pm in the low season and from 20:00 h / 8pm in the high season.
No arrivals accepted after 20:00 in the low season and after 21.00h in the high season!
10. Tourist tax
No reductions can be granted on any tourist taxes and accommodation taxes.
11. Booking for group and schools
Groups (of 15 people and more) can contact management via email to get a group request.
12. Cancellation
The cancellation of your booking must be communicated in writing (email). In the event of cancellation of your booking, the following cancellation fees will apply:
Camping pitches:
Up to 60 days before arrival: CHF 30.00
59 – 31 days before arrival: 50 % of the booked arrangements
30 – 14 days before arrival: 75 % of the booked arrangements
Less than 13 days before arrival: 100% of the booked arrangements
Rental accommodations:
Until 71 days before arrival: CHF 30.00
70 - 60 days before arrival: 50 % of the booked arrangements
59 - 31 days before arrival: 75 % of the booked arrangements
Less than 30 days before arrival: 100% of the booked arrangements
13. Pets
Pets are allowed, a maximum of two per pitch / rental accommodation.
In the rental accommodations a surcharge applies. Owners are required to look after their pets and have to make sure said animals do not harass other customers and do not pollute the area or facilities.
Pets are not allowed in the sanitary facilities and have to be accompanied at all times. Dogs are required to be kept on a leash. Exception: Guide dogs and assistance dogs are allowed.
14. Camping rules
To ensure that the stay is a pleasant experience for all camping guests, there are camping regulations that list the most important rules to be observed. These rules apply to all guests and are provided upon arrival / check-in.
15. Liability
The customers (campsite and rentals) of Camping Lazy Rancho AG are liable for all damages that they caused intentionally or through negligence. The site management is not liable for theft, losses or damages that the customers may suffer. The campsite management assumes no liability for natural hazards of any kind. According to Swiss law in Art. 257g OR, the customers must immediately notify the campsite management of any defects that they have caused. If they fail to do so, they are liable for all damages incurred by Camping Lazy Rancho AG.
16. Data protection
By booking, you authorize Camping Lazy Rancho AG disclose your personal data for the purpose of its services (administrative processing, statistical evaluation and marketing) and to third parties who are bound by strict confidentiality, as well as to use the data for the development of new products or services..
17. Legal protection
Travel, cancellation and pandemic insurance as well as common sense is recommended. (Thank you for reading the terms and conditions).
18. Jurisdiction
Place of jurisdiction is Thun, Switzerland.
19. Validity
These conditions apply as from January 1, 2024.
